Dauphine Alfa Romeo (1959-1964)

Renault Dauphine is a rear-engined economy car manufactured by Renault between 1956 and 1967 in a single body style: a 4-door compact berlina.

Alfa Romeo built the Dauphine Alfa Romeo (Tipo AR 1090) under license from Renault between 1959 and 1964 in Portello, Milan.

Differences with the French model are: electricity (Magneti-Marelli) 12 Volts, different (Carello) lights, and the logo "Dauphine Alfa Romeo" or "Ondine Alfa Romeo" (for the luxury version, the Ondine).

Between 1959 and 1964 Alfa built more than 70,000 Dauphines and Ondines.
